I have been very cautious with my diet when the pandemic broke out, but my anxiety keeps me down. So I want some power-ups. Supplements are also a choice, but I want to get my vitamins and minerals from fresh food.

I have been waiting for my favorite season to start, and it is coming! The holiday season. You may want to eat more during the holiday season because Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas will be no help as you try to watch your diet. Carbs will make you bloat but do not worry; here I will give you three great smoothie recipes that will help you buckle up for the season! Here they are;
3 Immune System Boosting Smoothies
1- Anıl Uzun’s Green Smoothie (Sweet)
The smoothie is full of Vitamin C to help you fight against the germs that will cause cold and flu!
You will need:
½ cup of spinach
½ cup of kale
1 cup of milk (soy, almond, light, oat whichever you prefer)
Six frozen raspberries
Three slices of frozen mango
Half a lemon (you will use the juice)
½ tablespoon of grated ginger.
All of them in the blender and mix well. You will have two big glasses of Green Smoothie!
2- Anıl Uzun’s Orange Immunity Smoothie!
The second recipe is full of turmeric, ginger, orange, lemon, and cinnamon. These ingredients are full of antioxidants and vitamin c to keep your body healthy and to work correctly. I will give you an essential ingredient list that I use, but you can always swap the fruits, the yogurt, or the milk with any other replacements you want. But keep in mind that the ingredients you will use shall contain the vitamins and antioxidants more or less the same as the ones ı use.
Ingredients
- a carrot
- a banana
- a clementine
- ½ tablespoon of freshly grated ginger
Juice of two oranges
- Juice of a lemon
- ½ tablespoon of freshly grated turmeric
- ⅓ tablespoon of cinnamon
- A cup of plain yogurt
- Ice
Put all of the ingredients in the blender and mix until the smoothie is smooth!
You can always add honey or agave to make it sweeter, or you can swap the yogurt with milk!
3- The wellness smoothie by Anıl Uzun
The last one is for you to nourish. It is not sweet but delicious enough to touch your taste notes. When you see the ingredients, you may have doubts but trust me, this one is great for your wellness and helps you digest if you drink it daily!
The fresh ginger, turmeric root, spinach, pineapple, banana, and black pepper will give you potassium, fiber, and antioxidants.
Let’s look at the ingredients:
- One banana
- 1 cup frozen pineapple
- 2 cups spinach
- 2 inches of fresh ginger
- 2 inches of fresh turmeric
- 1/2 tablespoon of honey r any other sweetener
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup almond or coconut milk
Blend all the ingredients until they are well combined. You can add more milk or any other ingredients to make the smoothie taste better.
